SSM Health pulmonologists provide consultation, diagnosis and care for illnesses and conditions that affect breathing and the lungs. In many cases, these conditions also involve the upper respiratory tract and heart. Among the diseases pulmonologists treat are pneumonia, asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and complicated chest infections. Our pulmonologists also collaborate with oncologists in the care of lung cancer patients.
